This is a no-sense printer - basics - the printer is VERY EZ to set up wireless - took my computer about 3 minutes to complete the hook-up. The paper feeds from the front which is great for shelf space - and photo paper also feeds from the front - and envelopes. The screen is small but OK. I had no problems with set up and so far after 1 week no issues. People talk about paper jams - well, all you have to do is make sure the paper is stacked nice and neat and insert the paper without force. As far as clearing jams, you open up the top, look in and there's a handle that you pull and surprise the guts are there - very EZ to clear jams. The machine is only about $100 and it's made of plastic. But it's functional. If you want a big, heavy printer go ahead and spend $600. If you want a simple printer you're only going to use occasionally, this is the printer. I have to say that as a retired court reporter I've owned about 20 or 30 printers over 45 years and I've had trouble with all brands HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Lexmark - I've had trouble on various issues. I have reached the conclusion that HP is probably my best bet for the $$$.Another "plus" is the computer control over the printer. Once the printer software is installed on your computer the printer "icon" lets you open up all the printer controls for cancelling printing, ink levels, etc. It's the easiest printer control I have ever used. You can go into the computer and cancel printing of anything you want to cancel in seconds.Another "plus" is the "stacking" of printing. If your printer is off and you're printing various things the printer "Q" will remember everything and once you turn on your printer hours later your printer will start printing everything in its memory. Very nice feature that works well.In retrospect I have to mention the wireless hook-up. I have a Times Warner modem & router that controls my home network. Every time I've added a wireless device to my home network I've had to "authorize" the addition of the new device with the name of my network and the password. With this printer, I put the CD into the computer and checked "wireless hook-up" when it came on the screen and that was all I had to do. The computer took about 3 minutes to connect my laptop to the printer without me having to do anything - very, very, very easy.
